Nut butters are the perfect base for a thick and creamy smoothie or shake but without the dairy. Try these combinations then add your own twist
Serves 1
Vanilla Shake Ingredients:
1 ripe banana- cut into chunks (ideally pre-frozen)
1 cup water
2 tbs almond butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Berry Peanut Shake Ingredients:
Approx. 4 tbs freeze dried strawberries
1 cup water
2 tbs peanut butter
handful of ice
Chocolate Protein Shake Ingredients:
2 tbs almond butter
2 tbs chocolate hemp protein powder
1 tbs chia seeds
1 cup water
small handful ice cubes
1-2 tsp agave or coconut syrup– to taste
1 tsp maca powder– an optional boost
Method:
Blend together all ingredients until super smooth and creamy. Pour into a large glass and serve immediately.
