This hot goji tea is packed full of immune boosting ingredients and anti-inflammatories. It packs a punch in the taste department too!
We’ve used our baobab powder for an added boost and complimentary flavour. Baobab is a great source of antioxidants, vitamin C, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and dietary fibre, it is also claimed to boost energy levels, help hydration and support the immune and nervous system.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup goji berries
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cm turmeric or 1/8 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1-2 tsp baobab
- 2 tsp coconut syrup (to taste)
- Juice of 1 lemon
Method:
Pour the boiling water over the goji berries in a heat proof bowl, cover and let stand for 10 minutes.
Blend all ingredients together until very smooth and a little frothy. You may like to strain the mixture for a super smooth texture if your prefer. Drink immediately whist still warm.
Note: The first time we made this tea (as photographed) I found it great but very ‘powerful’ in taste, if you don’t like the strength of flavour, try blending with an additional cup of hot water.
