Our Organic Dried Basil has as a delightful, slightly sweet aroma. It’s rich flavour makes it ideal for tomato based dishes and is a staple in Italian dishes. Excellent to sprinkle over pizzas and salads or even in desserts like strawberry and basil granita or basil infused panna cottas.
Rich in flavour with lovely lemony notes, our Organic Oregano adds a slight citrus hint to dishes. This versatile herb is sourced from Morocco and can be used in dishes like herbed potatoes, quiches, stews, sauces, on meats and vegetables or simply sprinkled on top of pizza and pasta.
Rosemary is a strongly flavoured herb that is often used as a bold flavour within dishes. Our Organic Rosemary can be pair with a number of different meats (chicken, pork, lamb and fish) or sprinkled on roasted potatoes or vegetables.
Our mixed herbs is an aromatic blend of marjoram, oregano, thyme and basil. Use our Organic Mixed Herbs in hearty, warming dishes like stews and casseroles to fresh, light salad dressings.
Our Organic Ground Ginger can provide a sweet, slightly spicy heat to a number of dishes, sweet or savoury. Spice up stir fries, curries or enhance a homemade peanut butter dipping sauce with some ginger. Add to home baking such as gingerbread and spicy cookies. Ginger pairs well with many fruits (like peaches, bananas, strawberries) as well as cocoa and nut butters so it’s a great addition to a smoothie or porridge!
Our Organic Kibbled Onion is a versatile ingredient that adds the classic warm and sharp taste of a typical onion without the risk of tears when chopping one up! Great in stews, chutneys, pizza doughs and the classic onion soup!
Our aromatic Organic Mint is a great accompaniment to both sweet and savoury dishes. It adds a refreshing mint flavour to recipes and is commonly used in curries, stir fry, casseroles and Asian dishes. It can also be used in sauce mixes, or rubbed into lamb for the perfect pairing. Alternatively, use the mint with hot water to make a delightful mint tea. Grab 100g for £3.25!
These flatbreads are made using chickpea flour (also known as gram flour) which is an excellent gluten free, high protein, alternative to flour. They can be dipped, dunked or simply eaten by themselves! They are a great accompaniment to a healthy salad or can be put into lunch boxes to enjoy on the go.
Recipe: Gram Flour Herb Flatbread
1 cup gram/chickpea flour
2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 cup water
2 tsp veggie bouillon
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup kibbled onion
2 cloves garlic- crushed
1 tbsp herbs (a combination- rosemary, oregano etc)
2 tbs olive oil
Salt and pepper on top
Poppy seeds on top- optional
Whisk the gram flour and water together in a bowl until smooth. Let it sit at room temperature for 2 to 6 hours.
Preheat oven to 220ºC and lightly oil the inside of a ~20cm cake pan.
To the gram flour mix, add remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Pour mixture into the prepared tin; sprinkle salt, pepper and poppy seeds over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven until edges begin to brown, about 15 minutes. Remove bread from tin and cut into wedges
