The unique hydrating properties of the chia seeds make them perfect for the summer months, add a spoonful to your breakfast cereal, your dessert or your smoothie throughout the day. Use them whole or ground depending on your texture preference.
In this recipe I used raspberries but you could swap in other berries if you like, i just particularly liked the red against the yellow. Kiwi slices, or blueberries could work well too.
Recipe: Fruity Chia lollies
Makes 6 lollies
Ingredients:
3 tbs chia seeds
2 bananas- mashed well
1 tbs maca powder (optional)
1 cup fresh pineapple
1/2 cup broken raspberry pieces (frozen raspberries also work well)
1/2 cup hot water
3 tbs coconut milk powder
Method:
Mix the coconut milk powder with the hot water then allow to cool before blending all ingredients (except raspberry) together until smooth. Stir through the raspberry pieces last.
Spoon the mixture into lolly moulds and freeze.
