Our Nutritional Yeast Flakes have a delightful rich cheesy flavour. It is a natural food and is rich in vitamins and minerals. It has been inactivated by heat and roller dried resulting in yellow coloured flakes with nutty, slightly yeasty, roasted flavour notes. Perfect for adding a subtle cheesy flavour to a number of dishes and ensuring vegetarians and vegans get the important vitamin B12. A 10g portion of these nutritional yeast flakes contains the current recommended daily intake of vitamins B12, B6, thiamin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, folic acid and niacin, as well as zinc. Nutritional yeast is also high in fibre and protein, yet another reason to incorporate it into your meals!
Nutritional yeast flakes can be sprinkled on many different savoury dishes. Use it in sauces to add a subtle cheesy flavour, sprinkle it on roasted vegetables or potato wedges, use it to coat tofu, dissolve it in water and add to soups or stews as a substitute for stock.
