Ashwagandha powder is made from the roots of the Withania somnifera plant which grows naturally across India, especially in the drier regions. Ashwagandha has been extensively used in Ayurvedic practices, a type of traditional Indian medicine. It can also be referred to as ‘Winter Cherry’ or ‘Indian Ginseng’, although it is botanically distinct from the ginseng family. It is a light tan colour, with a slightly nutty fragrance. Suggested use:
