Our excellent quality gluten-free buckwheat flakes have a delicious light, mild flavour. Buckwheat is a fruit seed related to rhubarb and sorrel making it a great staple in gluten and wheat free diets. Buckwheat is a really good source of protein, iron and magnesium while being low in fat. Our buckwheat flakes are made in the traditional way by heating the raw grain and then rolling out flat.
Buckwheat flakes can be used in the same way as other cereal flakes – use as an alternative to porridge oats, as a base for muesli or why not bake into cakes and muffins for a nutritious treat.
