Our Organic Roasted Hazelnut Butter is wonderful for spreads and creating gluten free, nutritious bars, cakes, muffins, raw protein bars and pancakes. It is produced by grinding organic roasted hazelnuts until a smooth, butter-like consistency is formed. Try it mixed with our melted dark chocolate, a divine chocolate spread!
The hazelnuts used have their skin on (the skin contains many good protective nutrients) so the resulting butter retains the goodness of the hazelnut skin. This means the butter does have a slight tart tone to it from the use of the unblanched nuts used.
Hazelnut butter is an excellent source of energy as it contains B- vitamins which help release energy from food. It is suitable for many types of gluten/grain free diets.
It’s also high in essential minerals like calcium, iron and magnesium and is also a concentrated source of vitamin E- a powerful antioxidant that is excellent for the skin. There is no added sugar, salt, preservatives or emulsifiers so is an ideal substitute for spreads and butters that may be loaded with sugar and salt.
Use as a spread, filling for chocolates or mix with our chocolate couvertures to create your own Gianduja! It is also fantastic for thickening sauces, smoothies and curries, baking and for use in smoothies.
