Our organic whole natural almonds from Spain/ Italy are delicious, creamy, sweet tasting raw nuts. Our natural almonds come with the skins on for all the almond goodness (the skin contains additional fibre and Vitamin E). Almonds are high in protein and fibre and are an excellent source of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and vitamin E. They are also rich is magnesium, calcium, selenium, iron, potassium, niacin, phosphorous, copper and zinc.

Note with organic Spanish/Italian raw almonds there can always be up to 2% of the almonds that can taste bad, this is just what happens with European almonds, sweet almond trees in Europe are bred by grafting from bitter almond trees and therefore sweet almond trees carry very small amounts of bitter almonds. In California, the other main region of almond production, 100% of the almonds harvested are sweet almonds with no bitter almond share. Unfortunately organic Californian almonds are usually processed by pasteurisation (heating to high temperatures) and not considered raw. We have therefore chosen to stock European raw almonds but you will find a small amount that will taste bad (though you will like these if looking for marzipan flavour!)
Almonds are excellent for homemade trail mixes, baking, in muesli and porridge, curries and salads. They are also good for creating your own almond dairy free milk and almond butters. Try mixing with our dried fruits, seeds, chocolate drops and/or other nuts in homemade snack mixes.
