Pistachio paste is produced by grinding whole pistachios until a smooth paste is formed. Pistachio paste is a great source of protein and essential fats and minerals. It has a multitude of uses from thickening sauces to making home made ice cream and it also goes delightfully well with chocolate.

Pistachio paste is suitable for many types of gluten/grain free diets. We also have other nut butters and pastes in our range including almond, hazelnut, cashew and peanut.

Please note that this is a 100% natural product and can therefore vary in colour, texture and consistency.  We do not add any oils or emulsifiers to our pastes, they are a 100% ground nut product.  This means in colder temperatures and/or when pistachio with a lower fat content are used, the paste can be quite solid and less malleable as it directly reflects the natural makeup of the product. 

If you are looking for a spreadable, more runnier textured pistachio product, please opt for our roasted pistachio butter.  With nut butters (unlike our pastes) the nuts are roasted in advance which allows the nut oils to naturally release which therefore makes the product runnier. 

As well as being high in protein our pistachio paste has no added sugar, salt, preservatives or emulsifiers so is an ideal substitute for spreads and butters that may be loaded with sugar and salt.

Suggested uses: 

Pistachio paste is fantastic for thickening sauces, smoothies or for making homemade pistachio ice cream. It is also equally as good straight from the tub or spread on toast.
