Our delicious new Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Coated Cashew Nuts are a wonderful treat, our un-roasted cashew nuts are encased in our unique sugar free, yet sweet tasting, 60% dark chocolate. As well as being sugar free they are also vegan and gluten free.
Our cashew nuts (also known as kernels) have a lovely smooth, creamy taste and are crisp to bite. Our cashews are the highest quality un-roasted cashews with no additives, preservatives or added salt.
Cashews, as with other tree nuts, are a good source of antioxidants. They are also a source of dietary trace minerals selenium, copper, manganese, magnesium and phosphorus.
Our Sugar Free Dark Chocolate has a wonderful intense cocoa aroma and flavour. The chocolate is sweetened with a sugar substitute, Maltitol, which is very close in flavour and sweetness to chocolate sweetened with cane sugar.
Maltitol makes a great sweetener for this chocolate as it doesn’t have the unpleasant aftertaste the other alternative sweeteners often have. It has considerably less calories to cane sugar and it’s a good option for those suffering from sugar intolerances. Another benefit to Maltitol is that it doesn’t promote tooth decay. It’s important to note that excessive consumption of products with maltitol may induce laxative effects.
As we keep our chocolate as pure as possible our chocolate covered treats are not finished to shining perfection as other chocolate snacks may be that have added nasties such as shellac and other polishing agents. Using our purest chocolate means our snacks have a raw finish and a few may clump. We advise storing in a cool, dark place.
