Our chia is produced in South America with the actual country of origin varying between harvests and batches. Our white chia seeds are popular for baking and sports drinks with their white neutral colour. Chia seeds contain a wide range of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. These include Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Iodine, Zinc, Selenium, Manganese, Vitamins A, C, D, E, K, B1, B2, B6, B12, Niacin, Folate, Biotin, Quercetin and more.
Chia seeds are also high in protein. However not all proteins are equal. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. Of the amino acids found in proteins, some can be made by the body while others are essential in the diet. Chia contains all 8 essential amino acids along with the non essential acids.
